For TGR fabric-reinforced oil seals, the mounting housing must adopt an axial design, which enables axial installation of the seal and restricts excessive tilting of the sealing element.

| The mating sealing contact surfaces shall be processed by cross-feed non-directional lapping, to prevent leakage caused by spiral machining marks. The surface hardness shall be approximately 60 HRC (minimum hardened layer thickness: 0.5 mm).As peripheral linear speed rises, the roughness Ra of the contact surface shall be increased appropriately; the surface must not be excessively smooth to maintain a proper lubricating oil film. The recommended minimum value: Ra min = 0.1 um.At a cutting depth c = Rz/2 and reference line Cref = 0%, the material bearing length ratio Mr shall range from over 50% up to a maximum of 90%.Corrosion, scratches and pores on the shaft surface must be avoided. | ||
