Product Features

· A water seal is an axial lip seal made of pure rubber material, primarily used for axial face sealing at the roll neck end of metallurgical machinery rolls. The water seal is fixed onto the rotating shaft journal by the clamping force of its body against the journal. At the same time, it utilizes the elastic flexural performance of its lip and the pressing force against the sealing face to form a sealing pair, effectively preventing water and contaminants from entering the roll bearing housing during operation, thereby protecting the roll bearings.

· During operation, the water seal leverages the centrifugal force of the external cooling water to block impurities and dust from entering the bearing housing, while also preventing grease leakage from inside the sealing chamber.

· Common water seal types include: VA, VS, VL, VE, VAX, and RME. Commonly used materials are NBR (nitrile rubber) and FKM (fluororubber).
